“I read your blog because, I like how you take abstract concepts and make them very real and relatable to our moment to moment living” – Nerak Ami

I am so happy with this feedback, for this is exactly what I intended when I started this blog, and continue with every post.  There are so many books out there that expound on theories and concepts.  You can drown in reading books.  They are motivating, inspiring and then ….. what do you DO when you have completed the book?  How do you relate the principles to your everyday life?  With no easy answers we go in search of the next book, workshop or guru and the cycle starts all over again.  Before long, our bookshelves are groaning under the weight of the half-read books, our pockets are depleted and yet our lives have changed little.

How do I know all of this?  Been there: done that.  That was me many years ago.  I had every book, CD, DVD on self development. personal transformation and spirituality.  Just mention a book, and it would be on its way to me in a matter of hours via Amazon.   I attended numerous workshops and seminars.  Then one day I realized that I had been putting very little of what I was taught into practice.  So I stopped and decided that I would attend no more events until I had put into practice half of what I had been taught!  Ha – haven’t attended an event since!!!!!

So what I started to do is focus on me, on my everyday moments, the ordinary, humdrum moments of my life and on the lessons of my own innate wisdome.  And in observing these moments, I started to find deeper meaning and a sense of the extraordinary in them!  Each moment becomes special and treasured – not to hang on to forever, but to enjoy and then move on to the next moment.  I found that my insights in these moments were exactly the concepts that I had been taught.  I was now practicing!

I present my everyday moments to you in my blog to help you to recognize your own everyday moments.  Enjoy mine – but mostly observe and revel in your own!
