Back to Reality – this IS My reality!

I recently spent the most magical 8 days of my life, celebrating my birthday with my brother and sister in Jamaica. Every moment was perfect, infused with love, joy and laughter.

On my return to Toronto, someone posted in response to my Facebook status “Now back to reality”. And I thought: “But the past 8 days ARE my reality”.

This is exactly how I want to live my life – in celebration, love and joy; with people I love, who love me; moments of connection with friends and strangers; relishing yummy food; breathing deeply at the beach, doing yoga, running or hiking in the mountains. This is the reality I choose to create, and I do not need to wait for vacation to do it. I do not need to travel to Jamaica for it. I can create this reality every single day no matter where I am or who I am with; no matter whether I am facilitating a workshop, coaching executives, puttering in my garden, spending time with loved ones.

The reality I create is totally up to me. There is no “back” to reality – for me, it is staying present to the reality of the love and joy in each moment. Whatever “now” is, is my reality. Reality ROCKS!!!!
