Soaring with happiness – power of appreciating someone’s work!

Now, whilst I know that I am in charge of my own happiness, it really is lovely when someone actually tells you how much they appreciate you.  I just received this e-mail from a client, and it has just simply made my heart SOAR!

Marguerite,  I’ve been meaning to thank you so very much for facilitating what everyone thought was a great retreat. One of our new directors was especially impressed with “how engaged everyone was and the intensity of the discussions. I am sure we will all benefit from these deliberations!”  (literally, he had the exclamation mark and everything).  Everyone really enjoyed it and you did an absolutely FANTASTIC job in bringing us together to have a productive and great time. I know its “your job” but I just had to tell you how truly happy and touched I was by some of  the commentary of our team members and it was all because you did an amazing job of creating the environment, asking the right questions and keeping us focused.  I also feel compelled to tell you how wonderful it is to be around your talent and passion – this is truly your calling and it is quite inspiring to see how you have pursued it so ardently.   I really admire that.”

Today, tell someone how much you appreciate them.  Tell them what you appreciate.  You will be increasing the happiness quotient of the world – the person will be happier, and so will you!

…Then add all of those lovely bits to what you bring on board as a friend and you’ll know how truly blessed I am, Mags!!
