“The only person you meet is you”

Have you ever caught yourself giving someone great advice and then realizing that what you are saying to them applies to you?  That what they are experiencing is your own experience?  And that the advice you are giving them is exactly what you need at that moment?

It is said that “the only person you meet is you”.  This speaks to our oneness and our connection to each other.  When someone comes to us for advice, they are drawn to us by our energetic vibration that is exactly the same as theirs.  “Like attracts like” is a basic law that underlies our entire world.  It is the Law of Attraction.

When someone turns to us for advice, they are our mirror.  It is good to listen keenly to what we are saying to them, for it is advice we are giving ourselves.  The person who asks our advice has given us a generous gift. My spiritual advisor has often said to me “Marguerite, whenever I have a problem I know you will soon turn up with that same problem”.  He is always SO grateful for the opportunity to tell me something that he needs to hear! In the dance of giving and receiving, we give advice – but are we open to receiving that same advice?

Notice when next someone says to you “I need your advice”:  how does the advice you give apply to your own life?  Be open to receive.  And if you feel that it does not apply to you, ask yourself if you are truly giving from a place of love.  Are you giving your best?  Are you being authentic and true to their highest good?  Are you being authentic and true to your own highest good?
