A gift from Mahalia and her mom

I am sharing this beautiful experience that my friend Mahalia related to me and other friends.  There are so many lessons for us, and I thank Mahalia for putting them out there for us all to share.  It is good to remember, in the final week before Christmas, that the best gifts are not purchased – they come from our heart.  Mahalia has given us all a beautiful gift!  (And make sure to read the quote in “Today’s Bright Spark” – to the lower right of this post)

Dear Friends and Loved ones,

Last Thursday i went to see my mom. This is after recognizing that a lot of the issues/baggage in my life were related to issues/bagges i had with her i was carrying around. So for several months i’ve been going to coaching and doing my ussal self-search until last Thurs my spirit said, ‘this is it!’. Time to sort out your life!

SO i went and i said my piece and my lady slam-dunked me in her ususal manner. I stood un-touched (un-hurt) by her off-load and my entire life just appeared before me. I saw in a split moment how, just as she was slammining and dunking me on Thurs, that’s how it has been all my life with her and i saw where this time i stood un-moved, un-affected by it. I  took my power back!

I suddenly realized that all my life i have been butting up myself on her slam dunk simply by allowing my inner strength and energy to drain every time she slammed. Made me a victim huh!! On Thurs, i stood tall and strong inside and all i could feel was love for her.  The irony is that after she dunked me, she packed me up with all kinds of food cause she think i too skinny! And i all i could see was her pure love. I saw where she loved me with her two ‘widows mite’ and that is her all! I learned to appreciate it. By accepting her love as is, i released the baggage!  I recognized my ego had been the gangster that did all it could to keep itself alive by Making itself a victim!  I got my victory on Thurs!

Now i know she may continue to dunk me the rest of her life but i will love her with un-conditional love and receive her love when she bestows it.
Some of you  my friends may have experienced being dunked by someone or something in life and may have been or still is struggling with issues,people and things. Guess what? Underneath all your struggles and frustration, you are pure love waiting to be expressed. Are you not longing for a difference in you life and your relationships?  Any time you experience hurt, pain, shame, frustration, it’s time to look within. If you don’t go within, you go without (love-less). Everything we all need to change our lives, rests within us. We must make the first move to change, take our power back. The world without may or may not change, but our peace lies within us.

I got my difference Thurs by changing the way i viewed my mom. She has not changed but i did!!

I now feel like my life is completely at peace. I have a few thing to complete with a few lved ones in my life and i create the space for it to happen sooner than later.  I love you all and wish all of you the purest expression of love, it carries no hurt, pain or shame, only peace and fulfillment.
